Active or recently lifted restrictions for tropical cyclones will be listed below.
Information for all States
The following activities are temporarily prohibited by American Modern for the duration of a tropical event:
- New business issuance
- Coverage changes on existing policies
- Deductible changes on existing policies
- Policy rewrites
As part of an agency’s risk management process, please refer to the following websites for current information on active tropical events (hurricanes, tropical storms, etc.) in locations where you write business:
These restrictions apply to new purchases if they are located in the area(s) under potential threat from a tropical event.
Renewal policy activities will continue, provided there are no lapses between policies.
