What You Need to Know: Yachts
Covering yachts isn’t new to American Modern® insurance, but our new standalone Yacht Program is. We deliver competitive rates and desirable options like Consequential Damage.
How We Define "Yacht"
- Vessels from 27 to 64 feet in length
- No age limits on boats with agreed value
- Hull values up to $1 million in value
- Types of vessels covered include:
- Triple and Quad engine sportfishing boats
- Houseboats up to 125 feet
- Performance boats including catamarans
- Sailboats
Yacht Details:
- Consequential damages
- Flexible hurricane deductibles (1%-20%)
- Extended navigation to the Caribbean and Mexico
- 6 pack charters
- No repairs made with after-market parts
What You Need to Know: Boats
Bass, center console, ski, and more — if it floats, we probably cover it!
- Personal effects (including fishing gear) coverage is available for up to $20,000
- Insure a personal watercraft and a boat on the same policy and get one bill—and a multi-unit discount
- If you have both a boat and a yacht, you may qualify for a discount
- Wooden (antique) boats are also acceptable at agreed value
- Coverage includes Consequential Damage and optional replacement cost on parts 10-20 years old
